The 2000’s called, and they want us to start wearing Ugg boots again.

We know what you’re thinking. Aren’t they… excuse our language… cheugy? No, Jerk believes they are not; and hundreds of Syracuse sorority girls seem to agree.

In fact, we at Jerk have even talked to said sorority girl. We interviewed a Syracuse junior, Monica, and here is what she had to say about uggs coming back.

“Growing up in the northeast, I have a distinct memory of taking off my Uggs at every sleepover party. It’s kind of nice to see them come back because they’re so comfortable. Since they did become so cheugy, I wonder how long they’ll stay in style. For a place like Syracuse, it is nice for them to be back in style because they are so comfortable, I just hope everyone has their waterproof spray.”

Monica brings up an essential point. Say it with us. WATER. PROOF. SPRAY. Spray that shit on your uggs so that they don’t get all gross and dirty. You can find it on Ugg’s website, linked here. We really make your lives so easy. You basically just spray it on your uggs to protect them from the harsh climates they may face… aka Syracuse’s daily weather forecast.

Anywho, like Monica said, there is no shame in keeping your little feetsie’s warm, especially in the arctic where we all attend school. We think as a group we can all collectively agree not to shame one another for wearing something that is ~perhaps~ a bit outdated, or at least used to be.

Ugg’s shoe styles have gotten, like, drastically updated. Seriously, go check it out! They are focused on more simplistic vibes, totally appealing to our aesthetic queens.

This. These are the boots we are seeing everywhere. All over Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter. The quad. Schine. Afters. Everywhere (okay, maybe not afters but you get the point).

So why are Uggs back? What about them is so great?

Well… we are so glad you asked. For one, they are like wearing a warm, fluffy cloud on your feet. Each ugg has sheepskin lining, (sorry vegans) making them extremely warm. On top of that, they have really soft cushions for your feet for ultimate comfort. Who wouldn’t want to be wearing outdoor slippers all the time? Even Gigi Hadid is wearing them. Nuff said.
