The Final Countdown: Every Spot You Have to Hit One Last Time Before Graduation
Seniors, we only have eleven days left until graduation. Eleven. Eleven days left of our college careers. Eleven days left before we’re forced to become real adults. Eleven days left to enjoy the city that’s become our second home. So to get the most out of those eleven days, here are eleven places to go and things to do one last time before graduation.
- Marshall Street
Stroll down Marshall and pop in your favorite restaurants and shops. King David's, Insomnia, and of course Starbucks and Chipotle. Sure you can find a Chipotle practically anywhere nowadays, but there will always be something special about this Chipotle.
- Destiny USA
Its not just a mall. It’s a mini city. I’m sure I’m not the only one who still needs to use the directory to find my way around. So go shop those stores you don’t have at home and get lost in the maze that is Destiny USA just one more time. Plus, from bowling to virtual golf, the activities are endless.
- Armory Square
Great shopping. Amazing food. Need I say more?
- Pastabilities
Yes, I know I already listed Armory Square but Pastabilties deserves its own mention. The fresh bread, the hot tomato oil, the endless choices of pasta (even though you always end up getting the same thing). If you haven’t been, you need to go. Now.
- Faegan’s
But only on Wednesdays for Flip Night. It’s your last chance to win a free beer.
- Chucks
Have one last hurrah at Chucks. You know everyone is going to be there.
- DJ's
While I’m listing bars, I might as well throw in DJ's too. Relive your freshman days, hold your breath as you hand over your real license, and pretend you still have three glorious years left of college.
- Varsity
You can’t leave Syracuse without having one last slice of Varsity pizza. Or five. Actually, you’re probably better off just buying the whole pizza. Wraps are fine too, if you're "healthy."
- Wegmans
If you’re not from around here, make sure your last grocery run is to Wegmans. Another supermarket will never be as amazing (seriously, The Washington Post named it the best grocery store in the country).
- Your freshman-year dorm.
Grab your freshman friends (if you still talk to any of them), head on over to your first-year dorm, and reminisce about all the dumb shit you guys did together. Ah, how far we’ve come.
- The Quad
Sure, its only 50 degrees out but thats practically a heatwave here. Go out and throw a frisbee, sunbathe (if there’s any sun), study (if you're one of the unfortunate people who has a final the last day of finals week), and admire the campus you’ll soon leave behind.
So enjoy those last eleven days, seniors. See you at graduation!
