The Best Collaborations of 2015

We’re barely into March and 2015 has already been an awesome year in music, with unexpected collaborations, surprise albums, viral performances, and more than enough Kanye moments to hold us over for the rest of the year. So we thought we’d give you a quick recap of the best collaborations that have graced our ears so far in 2015:

People and #RihannaNavy fans alike have been clamoring for new music from RiRi for borderline three years now, and when she released the acoustic driven “FourFiveSeconds,” pretty much everyone loved it. What makes this song work so well is that it’s actually a song about losing your cool, but the Paul McCartney driven guitar melody provides the perfect background to let Rihanna’s vocals shine.

2. "I Want You to Know" by Zedd ft. Selena Gomez

“Zelena” has been a rumored couple for weeks now with cryptic Instagram posts and tweets, but turns out they've just been making music together right? Zedd confirmed our assumptions when he dropped his monster new single last week. You’re definitely going to be hearing this song all summer at festivals and concerts alike.

3. "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

Even though this song was technically released as a single in late 2014, the music video has over a quarter billion views on YouTube, and it has comfortably sat atop the Billboard charts for weeks now. Besides the fact that you can’t get this song out of your head, it’s refreshingly not the typical “pop” hit, and Bruno Mars’s charisma and vocals shine throughout the funky beat. It’s safe to say that Mars is getting to a point in his career where everything he touches turns to multiplatinum singles.

4. "Blessings" by Big Sean ft. Drake & Kanye West

Big Sean knew what he was doing when he recruited the two biggest artists in hip-hop on the same song — it’s bound to be a hit, and fans were not disappointed. Even though this song is called “Blessings” it’s all about stunting past your haters and screaming “Waayyyy up” to every negative situation in your life.
