Experience 'Cuse This Weekend

Sure, you've tasted the hot tomato oil at Pastabilities, but have you really had the full Armory Square experience? Probably not.

Well, that's where Experience 'Cuse comes in. The Connective Corridor is hosting a weekend-long food tasting to make students aware of the free (yes, you read that right free) Connective Corridor bus that heads directly to downtown Syracuse. Simply catch Bus 443 at College Place and go straight to the Warehouse located right in Armory Square to mitigate your food cravings.

The three-day event kicks off with a food crawl on Friday afternoon. Basically, you can grab samples from seven different restaurants: Empire Brewing Company, Jolime, Gannon's Ice Cream, Otro Cinco, Lofo, Darwin's, Kitty Hoynes, and Roji Tea Lounge. The food crawl has two different sessions, one from 2 to 4 p.m. and one from 4 to 6 p.m., which you can purchase tickets for here. Although the event is only $15, you may also need to invest in a pair of drawstring pants to hide your obvious food baby.

Then on Saturday Nov. 8, shit gets real. Experience 'Cuse is offering insane food specials at a bunch of restaurants. Always wanted to dine at Lemongrass, but it didn't quite fit your budget? Now's your chance to get an entree for just $8. Other restaurants participating on Saturday are Empire Brewing Company, Kitty Hoynes, Black Olive, Lofo, Gannon's Ice Cream, and Sakana-Ya Sushi Bar.

If you somehow still have an appetite by Sunday, Experience 'Cuse is holding a Sunday brunch at Small Plates.

Seth Porter, a junior Television, Radio and Film and Political Science dual-major, who works on the Experience 'Cuse media team, says, "It's a great opportunity to see what downtown Syracuse has to offer. It's also a great way to blow off some steam with your friends after a long week."
