"Hi Barbie" Halloween

Barbie summer is officially over, but never fear, that only means it’s time for: Barbie Halloween. We know you all have thought about being Barbie for Halloween this year, and we say go for it! Your friends here at Jerk have your back, and we’ll show you how to be Barbie on a budget without being boring! 

The most obvious inspiration is recreating looks right from the movie: grab a pair of bike shorts with a neon tank top and bam – you’re Rollerblade Barbie; find or dye a pink jumpsuit and you’re Deprogramming Team Barbie; use your business casual wear for President Barbie; and break out the face paint for Weird Barbie… we could go on. Most of these outfits can be recreated with clothes you already have or easily found online through sites like Amazon and even second hand at your favorite thrift shop! Just remember: When in doubt, find something pink. 

Another way you can upgrade your Barbie costume is to find yourself a Ken; he’s the perfect accessory to add to your outfit. After all, she’s everything, he’s just Ken. 

But of course if there’s one thing we’ve learned from the Barbie movie, it’s that anyone can be Barbie, and Barbie can be anyone. So if none of these outfits are speaking to you, wear what makes you feel good! Barbie is confident and you should be too! If you have a fit you’ve been dying to wear, slap a pink Barbie logo on, and you’re Barbie. We promise that’s “Kenough.”

Go out and slay this Halloweekend, and make sure you say “Hi Barbie!” to any other Barbies you see! Let’s make Walnut street a real Barbieland this Halloween!
