Because what’s better than watching Sarah Paulson and the evergreen cast of the FX hit take us through psychologically thrilling—and insanely disturbing—plots that give us nightmares for weeks? The answer is nothing.
We love to forget our champagne problems and watch fictional characters violently murder each other—whether that be through witchcraft, the spirit world, or something far more sinister.
Recently, Sarah Paulson has been slaying outside of the horror world and owning the TikTok scene. Variations of Paulson’s iconic “HELP HE’S ESCAPING. THE KILLER IS ESCAPING,” audio from AHS’s Asylum season has been a viral audio byte enjoyed and utilized by many creators across the platform.

Not only does Paulson understand the power of her acting, she understands the MEMES about her acting (and can laugh about them without getting offended). We applaud a self-aware gal.
She has braved the Sarah Paulson crying meme, and now she gets to hear people constantly reenact her dramatic monologue on looped TikTok audio. She’s in on the jokes and even participated in the trend just to remind us how relevant she will always be.
All jokes aside, Paulson unapologetically lives her life according to her own desires and refuses to conform to societal norms, regardless of pushback. When she started dating actress Holland Taylor in 2015, the public eye had a lot to say about the 32-year age gap between the two women.
Instead of explaining herself or trying to combat the adversity she and her partner faced with anger, Paulson has shown through her adorable social media posts and interviews that she could not give less of a shit if people find her romantic life interesting or weird. We are still confused as to how people could take issue with two mature and breadwinning baddies falling in love—isn’t that the fairytale we’ve been waiting for?
Regardless of your stance on AHS’s cult fanbase or your appreciation for TikTok audio, we can all agree that Paulson’s versatility when playing drastically different roles and her pride in living her life exactly how she wants to is QUEEN BEHAVIOR.
Who else could play Hypodermic Sally with ease, cast spells as Cordelia Goode, go undercover as Lana Winters and contact the spirit world as Billie Dean Howard? Once again, the answer is no one can do it like Paulson.
As we approach the end of the spooky season, binging Sarah Paulson content is a must. So let’s go back to our roots and do overpriced Lush bath bombs with aesthetic mood lighting and dramatically play AHS in the background for old time’s sake.
